It has been a wee while...

So it is has been a while since I have posted on the blog. It has been a very busy last few months! I am on the planning committee for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's Run for the Cure in Brandon, MB which was on October 5th, so the month's leading up to that were jam packed! I have also started the Event Planning Certificate through Mount Royal University. And of course it is craft sale season!

This past weekend we were at the Brandon's Big One Arts and Craft Sale. It was fabulous! Two days of 200 crafters under one roof! We had a blast at it. We met some great other vendors and talked with all of the customers that dropped by our booth. We have already signed up for next year, so mark October 17 & 18, 2015 in your calendars!

I have spent today resting and relaxing with the dogs and will be back at the etsy shop tomorrow. We have a lot of great pieces to be added to the etsy shop that will make fabulous Christmas gifts!

Have a great night!

Happy Sunday!

I can't believe I am saying this but I am actually happy that when I look out the window I see a grey, dreary day. Since I cannot go outside and spend the day in my garden I can curl up with my heated blanket and make new jewellery pieces.

Next weekend I will be in the Exchange Uporium in Winnipeg from 11:30am to 1:30pm. I will be restocking the display and greeting customers who enter this amazing store that is a wonderful place to see over 40 vendors under one roof. This will be my first volunteer shift and I am very excited! I worked in retail for eight years while I went to high school and then university. I have now worked in an office for five years and am looking forward to a three hour shift in a cool, fun boutique! So today, I am working on some new pieces to add to the shop.

I am also creating new pieces for this year's flea market season. The flea market in Onanole, MB started this weekend but unfortunately I won't be at it until July. I am hoping to be set up for July 5th at it. I always love this sale! There are so many people around perusing all of the vendors items. There is a great selection of produce, garage sale items, handmade wooden furniture, fresh baked goods, jellies, jams, jewellery and handmade crafts! As this is my third year being a part of it I am looking forward to seeing all of the usual vendors as you make some great friends! My goal is to be at the flea market at least once a month if not twice.

I hope everyone is having a great Father's Day. I spent the day yesterday with my mom who raised my brother and I by herself. She is the most amazing and strong person that I know. Every year I buy her flowers on Father's Day as she has always been two parents in one for my brother and I. Happy Father's Day to all of the amazing fathers out there and to the mom's who were two parents in one!

Have a great Sunday everyone! I am going to get back to creating and will have some new pieces in the etsy shop shortly!

Exchange Uporium

Hello everyone!!

There is a fabulous new shop that opened today at 11am! It is called the Exchange Uporium and it is full of handmade items from Manitoba artists and there is a sectioon devoted to vintage from Manitoba curators. I am very excited and proud to be a part of this so from today till September 15 you will be able to buy my jewellery at this shop in Winnipeg in the exchange district at 264 McDermot Avenue.

The Exchange Uporium offers an exciting, eclectic and entirely unique shopping experience – one that showcases exceptional Manitoba creations and curated vintage. A bit bazaar and bit boutique, the Exchange Uporium is a place where customers can congregate, sellers can shine and artisans can create… until the summer’s end when it disappears. Designed, Made, Discovered – in Manitoba.

Also, this summer we are back in the Lower Fort Garry Gift Shop and are still in the boutique at Chez Sophie on the bridge in Winnipeg. It is going to be a great summer! I have added a new link above for stores that we are in which we will update as much as possible.

I write this to as I sit looking out the window and see the sun shining! It makes me want to put on my flip flops, grab my jewellery tools and beads and move out to the deck for the afternoon!

Happy long weekend everyone!!

Happy Spring!

After a very long hiatus I am back to the blog! Time has gone so fast since Christmas that I have not been able to keep up with it.

The winter was very long and hard on my body as I live with fibromyalgia which is a non-curable chronic pain illness. While I have been making jewellery some of the other things like social media and my blog have been moved to the bottom of the list for things to do. Now that Spring is here I am very happy as that means I will be able to get out and walk my dog and get more active which is very good for my health. It also means Spring Craft Sales and Farmers Market season has begun!

Today is a very rainy day which equals a very painful day for my limbs, muscles and joints. I am looking forward to this weekend as we are in Winnipeg at the WEST Handmade & Vintage Sale V in St. Boniface on Sunday. If you are Winnipeg you should definitely check it out. It is being held at the Holy Cross Gym at 290 Dubuc Street from 11am to 4pm.

I am very excited as I have been accepted into the Brandon Big One Craft Sale this fall which is in October. It feels odd for it to be just spring now and I already have fall/Christmas craft sales booked. I am in the process of updating the list of upcoming sales. We will be back again at the Sportsman Park Flea Market this summer in Onanole. It will not be every weekend but we will be up there at least once or twice a month for sure! I am working on my display to be even more wind proof then last years!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Merry Christmas!!

I can not believe that Christmas is days away! This month and November have flown by. We were at four sales in November and then I went to San Francisco for a conference for my day job and now it is almost Christmas. I am using that as an excuse for my lack of posts :)

I am proud to announce that our keychains, bookmarks and some of our jewellery is currently being sold at Chez Sophie Sur Le Pont Boutique in Winnipeg. It is the restaurant on the bridge. Very exciting!!

Over the Christmas break we will be posting new items in the etsy shop. I have updated the earrings section of the facebook page.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!!
